Please make note of a couple of events planned for this the LAST week of activities for The Class of 2012!

Please remember to remind your graduate to donate to the Class of 2012 Class Gift.  Wil Hergenrader is currently accepting any and all donations.

Senior Mothers are invited to a very casual coffee at the home of Susan Warner (215 East Cherry Circle Memphis, TN  38117) on this Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM.  Please try to attend for one last get together!

Senior boys are invited to a Senior Class Brunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Haguewood at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 17, 2012.  Graduation Rehearsal will follow the brunch at 1:00PM in the sanctuary of Second Presbyterian Church.

Sunday, May 20, 2012 is THE BIG DAY:)  Baccalaureate will be held in the sanctuary of Second Presbyterian Church at 9:30 AM.  Graduation will be held in the sanctuary of Second Presbyterian Church at 4:00PM Sunday, May 20, 2012.

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER BIT OF INFORMATION!!!

Please remind your son to contribute to the Senior Class Gift ASAP .  Class President Wil Hergenrader is taking up any and all contributions.  EVERY donation is appreciated.

In need of additional Graduation Announcements?  Josten's on Brookhaven Circle has MUS Class of 2012 Graduation Announcements on sale for $1.25 each.

The 2012 Owl Yearbook is "in" and has been distributed to all students.  Read and enjoy!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, May 4,2012 is the last regular day of school for Seniors which can only mean that tomorrow is also the long-awaited and much anticipated Mock Graduation.  Check out that tie your son will be wearing tomorrow and take one last look at it in one piece!  The tie will not make it out of Chapel in a wearable state so you might want to discuss said  tie selection with your boy! 

MUS Senior Exams :( and AP Exams start Monday, May 7, 2012.  Good Luck to all Seniors taking MUS 2nd Semester Exams and/or AP Exams.  Exam schedules are located on the MUS calendar.

FInally, Good Luck to all MUS spring sports teams.....Let's bring home some hardware :):):)!

"CAP AND GOWN"!!!!!!!!!!!

Another milestone for The Class of 2012....The graduation gowns are "in" at MUS.  Please make sure your son has picked his up. Please note that MUS supplies the graduation caps on Graduation Day. Coach Ray is available to answer any questions regarding the caps and gowns.  Now head out to your son's car or up to his room and find that gown he has thrown in the backseat or under the bed!!!

THE RENDEZVOUS PARTY IS THIS THURSDAY!!!

Well, can you believe it?  The year is coming to a close which can only mean that it is time for the boys to RENDEZVOUS at THE RENDEZVOUS!!! The party is this Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:30 at The Rendezvous ...of course!   Seniors, Faculty, and Senior Host Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.  Can't wait to taste that BBQ and see the Worldwide Premiere of the Class of 2012 Senior Slide Show.  Many thanks to Kelly Cunnignham and her hardworkind committee for organizing this event.

Also, really need a few more coolers with ice dropped off by mid morning. Let me know if you can help with this.  DROP OFF AREA IS AT MAIN ENTRANCE TO STOKES STADIUM, GATE WILL BE OPEN BY 8AM.

CLASS OF 2012 SENIOR GIFT

YES!! Can you believe it???  It is time to think about the Class Of 2012 Senior Gift to MUS!!!  Traditionally each senior class presents a gift to the school upon graduation.  This year Wil Hergenrader, President of the Class of 2012, is heading up the campaign to raise the necessary funds for this class's gift to MUS.  We would love to have 100% participation and would appreciate any and all donations ($20 .00 WOULD BE GREAT! :):):))to the Senior Class Gift Fund.  Wil is kicking off the campaign  NOW  and hopefully The Class of 2012 will respond!  Please know that any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!

SENIOR PICNIC

It's time to plan for the Senior Picnic!!  It will be held on Wednesday, April 25th at 12:30pm in the parking lot by the stadium. In case of inclement weather, it will be in the Stokes Stadium concourse.

The majority of the meal will be catered by "Just in Thyme" catering, however we need moms/dads to provide some items:

 

paper plates, forks and napkins

coolers with ice for drinks (need early that day)

table cloths, balloons and some "fun centerpieces" Red "U's", etc

cases of coke, sprite, bottled water (need early that day)

frisbees, footballs for kids to play on field

 

Nancy Fishers menu includes: Chicken breast sandwiches, Baked beans, chips, slaw and brownies.

Several of you had already signed up to bring desserts, just don't bring brownies.

 

We will be feeding the entire class (85 boys) plus 25 faculty members.

This is a fast and furious one hour deal, so simple is best!

2012 GRADUATION NEWS!!!

Josten's graduation orders have arrived at MUS and were given to the boys yesterday.  Also, be on the lookout for an important letter from MUS regarding graduation information.  GO OWLS!!!!!    

SENIOR SLIDESHOW :DEADLINE TODAY!

Please deliver your actual photos OR a CD of your photos to Marilyn HergenraderTODAY.  Marilyn lives off of Massey behind MUS at 6376 Forest Grove Drive.  Feel free to leave the photos or CD in the basket on her front porch.  The basket is checked throughout the day! 

The following photographs are requested:

1.  ONE toddler picture of your son with ONLY your son in the picture.

2.  ONE senior year picture of your son with ONLY your son in it.  This photo can be your son's "Senior Picture" but we prefer a candid senior picture of your son.

3..UP TO  but NO MORE than 5 pictures of your son with at least one other MUS Senior, ie 2 or more MUS Seniors should be in each of these photos.  PLEASE include ONLY MUS seniors in these pictures.  DO NOT include family members, girlfriends, etc.  These pictures should be from the years that your son attended MUS.

SOO sorry about the "rushed" deadline for this project.  The deadline has been moved up due to some  family health issues of our video producer.  Walgreen's is a great place to take the pictures to be scanned onto a CD and to crop pictures that need to be cropped to adher to the guidelines. Finally, please understand that this is a huge volunteer effort by Marilyn Hergenrader and Tammy Phillips to produce a very special project memorializing your son's years at MUS.  THANK YOU MARILYN AND TAMMY!!!
