The Civic Service Organization will hold a clothing drive next semester. ANY SCHOOL CLOTHES CAN BE DONATED! As long as it's within dress code at MUS, and it is new or gently used, it CAN BE DONATED.
1. The clothes must be new or gently used school clothes and preferably on hangers. That means khaki pants, blazers, belts, button-down shirts, collared shirts, or dress shoes of all sizes and colors.
2. These clothes will be given to the Jubilee Schools of Memphis. It would mean the world to the kids there if they had some sort of nice outfit to wear to school, church, etc.
3. The drive itself will take place two weeks after we get back from Winter Break (week of Jan 9). We will have boxes located around the school for clothing drop-off. Before dropping off the clothes, please make sure they are washed!

The 2011 MUS Civic Service Can Drive has begun! This event is particularly important this year because the Memphis Food Bank is in desperate need of food. According to a recent article in The Commercial Appeal, the Food Bank has two to three million fewer pounds of food this year than it did last year this time.
Please encourage your sons to bring cans or cash donations by November 22 to help the Food Bank collect food for local soup kitchens and food pantries.
Thank you for your support of the MUS Civic Service Organization. Happy Thanksgiving!
